| Winchester Model 94 in 30-30
caliber made in "New Haven, Conn. U.S.A." STAMPED "WINCHESTER PROOFED
STEEL". The serial number is 3863585 made in 1972. Nickel
plated frame and lever. The Hammer, Trigger, loading ramp and 2 rings on
barrel are polished brass. The barrel measures 24" and the over
all length is 38". This rifle has spent most of it's life in a
showcase and is in almost perfect condition. $500.00 The rifle will have to be transfered to a FFL dealer of your choice. |

Horace Smith’s refinement of the brass cylinder cartridge which included the powder, bullet and primer made the model 94 very popular. Smith's cartridge was largely derived from the Flobert BB cap. The Flobert design contains no powder. The cylindrical case was in all likelihood inspired by another French design, the LaFaucheux pinfire cartridge. |
